The Four Ladies Shoji Room Divider features four antiqued panels, graced with hand-painted geishas in elaborate classical kimonos. This traditional Oriental folding screen is useful for decoration as well as for privacy.
Hand-crafted by artisans working in China's Fujian Province, this room divider is made using age-old traditions. It is built from a combination of Philippine mahogany and elm wood and features an indigenous Fujian lacquering style, which uses seven carefully-polished layers of lacquer to create a complex, beautiful, and smooth surface. Each piece is then antique-finished for a gorgeous authentic look. The result is a matte finish that blends well with any decor and doesn't take away from the detail of the painted designs.
This room divider measures 72H x 1D x 64W inches and is available in a four-panel size only. The back of the screen is solid black. Genuine brass hinges are rust-resistant and allow for easy folding of the divider.
