My living room furniture is a golden brown oak, and when I saw that this shelf was offered in "oak", I thought this would be perfect, although there was not a photo or color chip of "oak" on the site. When it arrived, I was stunned to find it to be more of a gray with wood grain. I otherwise like the design and appearance, so I decided to keep it. It took about three hours to assemble.
